BOBBY LANIER, 27, of 120 Ignico Dr., Apt. H-2, Warner Robins, GA, pleaded guilty today in Houston Superior Court to one count Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute.
Lanier was sentenced to Twenty (20) years and ordered to serve Ten (10) of those years in prison. In addition to the prison time. Lanier was also banished from Houston County for the entire 20-year sentence. Lanier, had 7 rocks of crack cocaine on his person when he was arrested by the Warner Robins Police Department on November 9, 2005.
On November 9, 2005, Warner Robins Police Officer Witherspoon was making a citizen contact with Lanier when Lanier stated there was a small amount of marijuana in his pocket. Upon placing Lanier into custody, Ofc. Witherspoon located the marijuana and also discovered seven (7) rocks of crack cocaine in Lanier’s left front pocket.
COMMENTS FROM SENIOR ASSISTANT DA GEORGE HARTWIG: “With this prison sentence, this community continues to send a message to the drug dealers in Houston County,” said Sr. ADA Hartwig. “Simply put, when we catch you, you’re going to prison.”
