Drug Dealer Gets 10 Years Without Parole

VONTERRELLE JAMAL GLOVER, 29, of 114 Beatrice Drive, Warner Robins, GA, pleaded guilty today in Houston Superior Court to one count each of Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) With Intent to Distribute and Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute.

Glover was sentenced to Twenty-Five (25) years and ordered to serve Ten (10) of those years in prison without the possibility of parole. In addition to the prison time, Glover was ordered to pay a Two Thousand dollar ($ 2,000.00) fine plus numerous additional fees. Glover was also banished from Houston County for the entire 25-year sentence. Glover, who had three prior felony convictions for drugs, had an approximately 14 grams of MDMA and several bags of Marijuana when arrested by Warner Robins Police on August 28, 2007.

On August 28, 2007, Warner Robins Police Sergeant Billy Styles spotted a subject at the Conoco station at 1507 Watson Blvd. who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Police confirmed that warrant and arrested Donald Gauthier. Police then identified the other passengers in the vehicle with Gauthier and learned Vonterrelle Glover also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and searched. Police found $ 600.00 cash, scales and a bag of marijuana in his pocket. In the car where Glover had been seated, police found several more bags of marijuana and a large quantity of MDMA (Ecstasy) pills. Glover admitted to police that the drugs found in the car were his.

COMMENTS FROM SENIOR ASSISTANT DA GEORGE HARTWIG: "It is obvious that Glover was dealing drugs based upon the quantity, the scales, and the money he had on him," said Sr. ADA Hartwig. "We've prosecuted Vonterrelle Glover several times in the past. He was on parole at the time of this incident," Hartwig said. "Hopefully, this prison sentence will send a very strong message to drug dealers in Houston County-when we catch you, you're going to prison," added Sr. ADA Hartwig.

The sentence was imposed by Judge Edward D. Lukemire this afternoon. Glover was prosecuted by George H. Hartwig III, Senior Assistant District Attorney, and Timothy Marlow, Assistant District Attorney, Houston Judicial Circuit. Vonterrelle Glover was represented by Chief Assistant Public Defender Angie Coggins, Houston Judicial Circuit. For additional information, call Senior ADA George Hartwig @ 478-218-4810.
