Timothy M. Marlow is a life-long resident of Middle Georgia. In 1999, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in the fields of political science (global studies) and history. Tim earned a juris doctorate from Mercer University in 2005. At that point, Tim had already worked at this office for two years, and he was given an opportunity to serve this community further as an Assistant District Attorney. He readily accepted that position and was assigned to the Post Conviction Unit. He served in that capacity handling appeals, violations of probation, drug, theft, fraud, animal abuse and obstruction based cases until the middle of 2007. At that time, Tim teamed up with George Hartwig in the Narcotics Unit. In addition to primarily being a narcotics prosecutor, Tim prosecutes crimes involving firearms, gangs, and dog-fighting. Tim's experience has allowed him to serve as a "utility prosecutor," and much like the utility infielder in baseball is capable of filling in wherever there is a need, Tim does the same for this office. It is the proactive nature of this unit that appeals to Tim...that ability to get out and help suppress crimes before they lead to more criminal actions. At this time, Tim is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the National Association of District Attorneys, the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia and the Georgia Gang Investigators Association. Tim is admitted to practice in the Superior Courts of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of Georgia. |
