Welcome! The Narcotics Division prosecutes all felony drug offenses in Houston County, including trafficking cases, manufacturing and illicit lab cases, distribution and sale cases, possession with intent to distribute and simple drug possession cases. ADA Stephen M. Cusick is the primary drug prosecutor in Houston County. Chief Assistant District Attorney George Hartwig continues his role as the supervising attorney over the unit as well.
This Division is also responsible for prosecuting prescription fraud/forgery cases, counterfeit controlled substance cases, and violations of the Georgia RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act.
The Division also handles civil forfeiture suits arising out of drug-related seizures of property, including: currency, vehicles, weapons, houses, and other assets.
