After deliberating for twenty minutes, a Houston County jury convicted Bennie Walker of Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault (on Lyle Poling), Aggravated Assault (on Erica Gallo) and two counts of Possession of a Firearm During a Crime. The crime occurred on February 3, 2007, at the Relax Inn in Perry.

A Macon man was sentenced to 15 years without parole today in Houston County Superior Court for an armed robbery earlier this year. Tex Ronald Bennett, 37, of 1140 Boulevard in Macon pled guilty to robbing a gas station in Perry back in May.
