A Warner Robins man was sentenced late today for robbing and kidnapping several employees of a local restaurant. Marlon Terrell Jackson, 24, of 211B Woodland Trail was sentenced in Houston County Superior Court based on an incident that happened last year. Judge Katherine K. Lumsden sentenced Jackson to 15 years in prison without parole, required an additional 15 years on probation, and banished him from Houston County. Jackson pled to armed robbery, aggravated battery, and multiple counts of kidnapping, and aggravated assault.
Warner Robins police were called out to the Taco Bell at 829 Russell Parkway back on September 30th of last year. When they arrived, police discovered two victims inside the restaurant, one with significant injuries from an assault and robbery. Jackson was soon identified as the culprit because the victims remembered him as a former employee. Jackson was almost immediately arrested and gave a complete confession to police.
Chief Assistant DA Jason Ashford: "Marlon Jackson tied one of the employees up, and told the other one he was going to kill her. All he got for his trouble was 15 years without parole. Warner Robins police did an outstanding job with this case, and thanks especially to Detective Thomas Williams for putting together a great case for the State."
