A Warner Robins man was sentenced today for a convenience store robbery in Houston County Superior Court. Frankie Deangelo Styles, 16, of 206 Northlake Drive, was sentenced to 20 years, with Superior Court Judge Katherine Lumsden requiring he serve 10 years in prison without parole for a December 2006 armed robbery of a Quik Stop on North Davis Drive.

Chief Assistant District Attorney Jason Ashford said Styles was treated as an adult even though he was a juvenile when the crime was committed.

According to Ashford, Styles did not possess the firearm and served solely as a lookout for the robbery and he cooperated with law enforcement. Ashford said he was satisfied with the sentence in part because no one was injured during the robbery. "This man will serve the better part of his youth in prison because of stupidity and bad choices, but armed robbers go to prison in Houston County" said Ashford.
