How to Avoid ID Theft
  1. Do not give out needless information (stores)
  2. Ask why an individual/store needs your information
  3. No information given to "Caller ID Withheld" phone numbers
  4. No information unless YOU placed the call.
  5. Check all your financial accounts often (at least monthly)
  6. Keep track of your bank, credit, and social security cards
  7. Keep your bank and credit card statements on file
  8. Ask for your credit report (yearly)

    2. Experian: 1-800-EXPERIAN
    3. Trans Union: 1-800-888-4213
