In addition to serving as Houston County's Narcotics Prosecutor, Cusick also handles cases involving dog-fighting, firearms, and gangs. He has represented the State of Georgia in not only the broad spectrum of narcotics trials, but also in murders, armed robberies, aggravated batteries, aggravated assaults, and obstruction trials.

Cusick works to combat both the immediate consequences and the far reaching negative externalities associated with the ripple effects caused by the abuse of narcotics. Cusick is actively in the community and focuses on encouraging youth to avoid drugs because drugs drain individual potential and lead to shattered futures. He suggests that individuals learn more about the perils posed by drug abuse by visiting Just Think Twice.
